Joy Reid should’ve stuck with her homophobic blogging. As a society, we would’ve all be better for it.
MSNBC’s resident lunatic (a tough competition, to be sure) is not a newswoman or a journalist in any sense of those words. The only power she’s willing to question or investigate is the fabricated power of “systemic racism,” which according to Reid, exists in every facet of American life.
Rather, Joy Reid does PR work for the leftist American Regime, which is run by government, big business, academia, and far-left nonprofits. That’s why her show has the same tone and content of a Bank of America diversity seminar during Black History Month.
Traditionally, reporters would be skeptical of such congruent messaging from every single powerful entity in the country. They might notice that a plan to propagandize the public is afoot. That would be one hell of an exposé.
But Joy Reid is not paid to notice things. In fact, she’s paid specifically not to notice things. Her only job is to run the propaganda arm of the Regime.
Reid’s coverage of the Kyle Rittenhouse verdict is a prime example.
She said it was symbolic of American racism.
“This country was built on a the idea that white men had a particular kind of freedom,” she said, referring to Rittenhouse.
There is no evidence that Rittenhouse was motivated by race. In fact, a jury of his peers decided that he was motivated by self-defense. That’s why he was acquitted.
But that doesn’t matter to Joy Reid, who called into her own show while on vacation to discuss the verdict.
The prevailing narrative set by the American Regime is that America is a fundamentally “racist” country, and Joy Reid will bend herself into a pretzel to make that square narrative fit into a round hole.
Later in that segment, she compared Rittenhouse to a slave catcher, whom she then accused fo “inflicting violence to protect property.”
Anyone who watched the trial knows that’s not what happened. Joy Reid watched the trial, too. She simply doesn’t care. The narrative is all that matters.
When Rittenhouse broke down in tears on the stand, Reid wasn’t having it.
“White crocodile tears,” she said on her show, adding that “Kyle Rittenhouse put on quite a show for the nearly all-white jury in his murder trial.”
She also described him as “a novice actor attempting to convey sorrow” and said “It was a Razzie-worthy performance, in my view, but I’m not the target audience for this sick show,” before comparing him to Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, who broke down in tears during his Senate confirmation hearing after being falsely accused of rape by the likes of Joy Reid.
Not only is Joy Reid a propagandist, she’s also an obvious sociopath. Perhaps the two are related.
When Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced last week that he wanted to create a Florida State Guard, Reid had a conniption.
“So… y’all know this is fascisty bananas, right…?” she tweeted.
Actually it isn’t. It’s common.
Twenty other states have State Guards, including perhaps the most liberal ones among us, California and New York.
To DeSantis’ defense came, of all people, left-wing alleged comedienne Sarah Silverman.
“Please read the article before you post this stuff you’re a news outlet. The truth has to matter,” Silverman said.
When you’ve lost Sarah Silverman… well, it might be time to regroup.
But the prevailing American Regime sentiment is that DeSantis is some kind of fascist strongman. For them, that narrative has to exist. DeSantis has received high marks for his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic and for owning the libs day in and day out by working with his Republican legislature to enact conservative policy. He will eventually make a viable presidential candidate.
That’s where Joy Reid comes in — to convince Americans that DeSantis is literally Hitler so the Regime can hang onto power and drag us into the next layer of progressive hell.
All of the following happened during Reid’s first year hosting her MSNBC show in primetime. (She was promoted after the homophobic blog thing, for those keeping score at home).
Reid compared Critical Race Theory protestors to “segregationists,” as parents nationwide showed up to their local school boards to tell teachers to stop propagandizing their children.
Those parents committed heresy against the Regime’s religion of racism, and Reid had to combat them.
She referred to Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas as “Uncle Clarence,” a nod to the nickname “Uncle Tom,” which is used against blacks who are viewed as servile to whites.
A powerful black conservative? Can’t have that. It doesn’t fit the Regime narrative that all Republicans are racist bigots and that any black person who votes for them is betraying their own racial group against that group’s interests.
Similarly, she accused Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), a black Republican, of being present at a press conference to make the GOP seem less racist.
She also accused Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) of being a Russian agent.
Remember that narrative? That all Trump supporters are secretly in bed with evil villain Vladimir Putin?
You’d think now that that narrative has been incontrovertibly blown to hell and back, the Democrats would come off it. The Steele Dossier, which predicated the entire narrative, was finally, conclusively determined to be fabricated — which anyone who doesn’t have an interest in protecting the Regime knew the second it was published.
Again, it doesn’t matter to Joy Reid. She’s got powerful Democrats to protect!
Joy Reid is not a serious person.
But unfortunately, America is not a serious country, so she fits right in.
The First Amendment should not apply to people like her.
Any disseminator of information with such a massive platform who knowingly misleads and lies to the public should receive the harshest punishment on the books.
Intentionally misleading the public is the ultimate betrayal of the public’s trust, and justified or not, vast swaths of Americans still trust the legacy media.
A serious country would lock Joy Reid in a cell and let her mutter her incoherent ramblings to herself for the rest of her miserable life. It wouldn’t put up with constant divisive propaganda and genocidal rhetoric aimed at an entire race of people.
It would never, under any circumstance, give her a primetime cable news show.
